Carol Naughton, Senior Vice President of Purpose Built Communities, speaks about the intersector collaboration that revitalized East Lake Meadows. Her TEDxAtlanta talk, “Sustainable Community Designs For Social Impact,” describes the work that can be achieved when leaders work across sectors:
There are people figuring out new pathways forward. I want to tell you the story of three leaders who came from very different backgrounds who found a way to cross the kinds of divides that usually separate us from shared vision and collaborative action. Their ability to ultimately bridge those divides and solve a desperate situation in a neighborhood in Atlanta has lead to a national movement that brings leaders together across race, ethnicity, and income to rebuild neighborhoods that have been devastated by poverty.
