Unlike other types of crime, cybercrime is borderless, making it all the more harmful. Current legal systems are not advanced enough yet in this domain to fully protect industries from perpetrators. As such, it is generally recognized globally that to better deal with the negative aspects of the digital world, international cooperation between actors is required especially when it comes to sharing information.
