The untold truths of social enterprise: recapping Harvard’s 2016 Social Enterprise Conference

We had a wonderful time engaging with the social enterprise community at this year’s Social Enterprise Conference this weekend in Boston. In addition to attending a range of sessions that touched on cross-sector collaboration, our Executive Director Neil Britto moderated a panel on community entrepreneurship in Boston. The panelists suggested that there are a range of cross-sector partnerships used in community entrepreneurship — funder, program design, and referral, for example — and that the community work done by non-profits especially benefits from platforms that convene organizations from multiple sectors to learn and forge relationships.

For background on the conference, see our Q&A with Paola Cordovez Cereceda, one of SECON’s co-chairs, or see our Storify below for a taste of the inspiring discussion sparked at SECON 2016.
